CEDAR FALLS – In seven days the Northern Iowa football team is going to finally line up against an opponent that isn’t wearing a combination of Purple and Gold.

Not even the blistering heat on this summer afternoon could diminish the renewed energy and refreshed optimism within Virginia’s football program.

Virginia is more than a week into training camp, and on Saturday the Cavaliers will play their first scrimmage of the preseason.
