Bells mark Armistice Day at Morpeth - video THE Clock Tower bells rang out to mark Armistice Day on a rainy November 11 at Morpeth. A short service was conducted in front of the Town Hall by Canon Simon White, Rector of Morpeth, who was accompanied by the Mayor, Coun Rachael Hogg. A small crowd gathered in the Market Place to observe the two minute silence, held at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month, and remember all those who gave their lives in service to their country since 191
