I’ve loved this song since I was a little kid! Always reminds me of my dad! Hearing it again as an adult always carries this nostalgia but most importantly I can now understand the content of the song! It’s about letting go and allowing someone you love to be the best and happiest version of themselves... even if that means it’s not with you!
