Meet the meadow jumping mouse (Zapus hudsonius)! During surveys conducted this summer, conservation biologists captured several of this species in wet prairies and along stream edges. Jumping mice are widespread across most of North America and recognized by their long tail and large hind feet, which help them jump short distances.
