These small national flags were traditionally gifted to soldiers by their families and friends, inscribed with heartfelt messages wishing the servicemen victory, bravery, and a safe return. Each flag is as unique as a fingerprint, often becoming the only surviving trace of missing or fallen soldiers. Yesterday we formally transferred custody of three of these unique heirlooms
